Timshel Band Dkr
Timshel is a Senegalese reggae band founded in the summer of 2004 in Dakar. The group was born in the streets and neighborhoods Dieuppeul Derklé, the common passion for reggae and reunion of childhood friends in the neighborhood.
Starting small with the means at hand, a few old and rusty acoustic guitars in hand, Scrooge, Alex and Alain are often found to Boeuff and started to compose some songs. A few months later, via and appreciating the feel of the three, they are joined by another friend Dieuppeul, the keyboardist Frank, alias "The Man".

Biographie The training is expanding, and the idea of forming a true reggae band begins to emerge in small heads of our lascard: Vibrations are good, the roots influences and motivations of each match, why not make the attempt large?!
When a few weeks later, drummer Billy Vincent and the guitarist who joined them, the history of Timshel can begin in earnest. The group is full, electric guitars and amps are recovered left to right, they can begin to make noise in the neighborhood!
More than two years later, this group formed in the backyards of the neighborhood is still there, and it's over the hill!
In two years of existence, the group has given more than one hundred concerts. Some self-produced by the group centers and mythical places (Goree Island, Sacred Heart, tennis club), other clubs in the city of Dakar and the regions (Just4u, Pen'art, Red Club, Jet set, Dosso in Thies, Rolls Sally ... etc.) and still others in major music festivals (Afrikakeur, Music Ebene, RTC Dakar and Kaolack).
The group has evolved, matured in his approach to the scene and composition, culminating in a group Aguer Reggae Roots.
Without any means of mass promotion in stubbornly making the scene in every way, the group became known and recognize a wide audience of music lovers and reggaephiles Dakar.
Freshly celebrated its second anniversary, the group prepares to enter the studio to record his first album consisting of songs in Wolof, English and french, which should reach the market early 2007 and allow the group to reach a wider audience.
The objective remains the same over time: moving, sending its very heavy, and make up scene!
And as the group name suggests, Timshel (quotation in Hebrew from the Bible): If you want, you can!
